NOTHIN' BUT A GOOD TIME
Hola amigos--I know it's been a while since I rapped at ya (Thank you Jim Anchower). Anyway, I went down to Miami for a few days last week--good fun. Had some sushi, had some sake, got some sun and I bought some pants. I got to go see The Cure in West Palm Beach--man, Boy George has really let himself go. To be honest, I never really listened to The Cure other than the popular songs that everyone knows so I really only recognized a couple of songs. It was still a good show, and a perfect warm-up to what I would experience just a couple of days later, although unbeknownst to me what my future would be.
Before I left, a friend of mine was contracted to shoot a music video. Now, I didn't know who the video was for but I was graciously offered the opportunity to work as a production assistant (fancy name for peon) on the video. All that I was told was that it was for a country music artist. This brief description did not prepare for the news of whom it would be, though. Upon my return, I learned that we would be shooting a video for Bret Michaels from Poison. That's right...you can open up and say ahhh! Apparently, Bret is crossing-over into country. So, the next day, we were on our way to shoot a music video for Bret Michaels..........................................
Tune in tomorrow for Part 2: The Shoot
